Scott is Special Counsel at International Aerospace Law & Policy Group, focusing on public international law, spacecraft insurance and approval frameworks for aerospace activities. He is previous director of the Space Law Council of Australia and New Zealand, a current member of the International Institute of Space Law and on the executive team for the Space Generation Advisory Council.

Scott has also worked with the Space Industry Association of Australia and contributes to the International Space University in various capacities. Upon completing his Master of Laws in Air and Space Law at Leiden University he led the regulatory team at Australian launch services provider Southern Launch to obtain the country’s first commercial space launch licenses.

Beyond his achievements in regulatory and policy reform Scott teaches law and economics to undergraduates and MBA students across a number of institutions.
